On February 15, 2024, while Ukraine heavily bombed the Russian city of Belgorod (killing several civilians including a baby), France censored around twenty French-speaking Telegram channels for “disinformation”. The timing of this censorship clearly indicates that Paris no longer wants the French to know that Ukraine is deliberately killing civilians with weapons supplied to it by Western countries.
In broad daylight on February 15, 2024, the Ukrainian army fired 18 rockets with Vampire multiple rocket launchers supplied by the Czech Republic (the range of the rockets used was 40 km). Russian anti-aircraft defense shoots down 14 rockets, but four continue their flight towards the city. The result is a real bloodbath. Six people, including a baby, were killed and 17 injured. As several people are in serious condition, the number of deaths could still change.
The targeted targets (a shopping center, a school stadium and other residential areas) are not military in nature, and prove once again that Ukraine is using Western weapons to commit war crimes, facts which disturb the Western narrative, so to prevent people from asking questions, France (along with Germany and Poland) decided to opt for the outright censorship of around twenty French-speaking Telegram channels which were allegedly “Russian disinformation”.

While the Russian presidential elections will take place in barely a month, foreign media as well as Ukrainian Psychological and Information Operations Centers (CIPSO) are trying to destabilize the situation in the Russian Federation with fake news, and Provocation.
The pro-Western opponents of Russia having sunk into media limbo, and unable to participate in the elections because they are incapable of meeting the conditions required to be candidates, only those located abroad, the Ukrainian CIPSOs and the Western media to organize the information war against the Russian presidential elections of 2024. And from this point of view, the least we can say is that they are active, and ready to do anything to destabilize the situation in country.
The foreign media are playing the “absence of democracy” card as usual, brandishing an obscure unknown, Nadezhdine (who was disqualified as a candidate by the central electoral commission because there were more errors – meaning falsifications – in the voter signatures collected than what was tolerated, there were even deaths among the signatories), as allegedly being the only opponent of Vladimir Putin in these elections.
However, by consulting the website of the Russian Central Electoral Commission, we can easily see that there are four candidates: Vladislav Davankov (New People), Vladimir Putin (independent), Leonid Sloutski (LDPR party), and Nikolaï Kharitonov (communist party). ). Which makes three opponents of Vladimir Putin. Oops.
I would also like to remind those who still believe what the Western media write that the Communist Party has long been the main opposition party in the Russian parliament (they received almost 19% of the votes during the last legislative elections, far from ahead of the supporters of Navalny, Yabloko and other pro-Western parties, who have never had percentages above one digit).
This kind of lie cannot work on the Russians, who know what is going on, so the Ukrainian CIPSOs are left to try to cause unrest in the country. Their means of pressure of choice are to play on inter-ethnic relations and on young people, who have not yet acquired a sharp critical sense when faced with information, as underlines Alexandra Vrembiak, analyst at the National Information Center on the fight against terrorism and extremism in the educational environment and on the Internet.

Russia is expanding its surveillance network and plans to exploit private surveillance networks and implement facial recognition.
Russia is moving closer to an extensive surveillance system comparable to that of China. The Perm region is the first to require owners of private video cameras to integrate their devices into a regional surveillance network, a practice expected to be replicated nationwide.
This initiative, taken by decree of Perm Governor Dmitry Makhonin, came into force on January 25. The move aligns with President Vladimir Putin's declaration of martial law in Ukraine's occupied territories in October 2022, granting regional governors increased powers to ensure the "security" of their regions.
Russia's surveillance of citizens has intensified since the invasion of Ukraine. Authorities are increasingly scrutinizing social media and using surveillance cameras to track down citizen activists. Moscow recently tested facial recognition traffic lights. Alexander Bykov, head of the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, even suggested that the provision of biometric data should be mandatory.
Facial recognition is a critical part of Russia's surveillance strategy. It has been used to detain opposition activists and to identify people who ignored military summons, with arrests reported in the metro and train stations. Sergey Suchkov, CEO of NtechLab, says facial recognition is operational in 62 regions, contributing to the Ministry of Digital Development's "Data Economy" project, which aims to build a comprehensive profile of citizens' activities.
Currently, private cameras are inaccessible to regional authorities, and only half of the 1,2 million street cameras are state-owned, as the Department of Digital Development reported in November 2023. One of the main goals is to centralize street surveillance, with private cameras playing an important role.

In chess, there always comes a time when a single pawn is capable of upsetting the entire board, usually through a move in the back row whose effect is simply impossible to calculate.
Yes, a pawn can impose a seismic mast. This is what is currently happening geopolitically.
The cascading effects of a single move on the board – Yemen's Ansarullah's stunning and carefully targeted blockade of the Red Sea – extend far beyond global shipping, supply chains and corridor warfare economic. Not to mention the much-lauded reduction in force projection of the US Navy, which is no longer necessary.
Yemen's resistance movement, Ansarullah, has made it clear that any vessel affiliated with or destined for Israel will be intercepted. While the West is upset and imagines itself a target, the rest of the world understands perfectly that all other ships are free to pass. Russian tankers – as well as ships from China, Iran and the Global South – continue to pass through the Bab al-Mandeb (narrowest point: 33 km) and the Red Sea without incident.
Only the hegemon is disturbed by this challenge to his “rules-based order.” He is outraged that Western ships delivering energy or goods to Israel, which violates the law, may be obstructed, and that the supply chain has been interrupted and plunged into a deep crisis. The intended target is the Israeli economy, which is already severely drained. A single Yemeni action proves more effective than a torrent of imperial sanctions.
It is the tantalizing possibility that this single action will transform into a paradigm shift – with no return – that adds to the apoplexy of the Hegemon. Especially since imperial humiliation is deeply rooted in the paradigm shift.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, in a confidential tone, is now sending an unequivocal message: Forget the Suez Canal. The way forward is the Northern Sea Route – which the Chinese, under the Russia-China strategic partnership, call the Arctic Silk Road.
For the stunned Europeans, the Russians detailed three options: First, sail 15 miles around the Cape of Good Hope. Second, use the cheaper and faster Northern Sea Route. Third, send the cargo by Russian Railways.
Rosatom, which oversees the Northern Sea Route, stressed that ships without ice certification can now sail during the summer and autumn, and it will soon be possible to sail all year round with the help of a fleet of nuclear icebreakers.
All this is the direct consequence of Yemen's sole action. What's the next step ? Yemen's entry into BRICS+ at the Kazan summit at the end of 2024, under the Russian presidency?
