The Last Prophecy by Peter Deunov (1944)

There has been circulating on the internet for many years a text of prophecy attributed to the Bulgarian spiritual master Peter Deunov.

This is important because it brings another point of view on the unprecedented crisis that humanity is going through. His or her prophecies help us to step back, gain height and allow us to position ourselves. the big change concerns not only humanity, but our entire evolutionary cosmos.

Robert Powell, co-founder of Sophia Foundation, asked the Dr. Harrie Salman if he could not provide a true to the original and authentic translation of this important prophetic text. He conducted extensive research to find the original Bulgarian sources of Peter Deunov's prophecies. So he discovered that the text on the internet is a compilation of quotes from different years. His research gave rise to an article of a few dozen pages published in English entitled " Prophecy of Peter Deunov » downloadable from the Sophia Foundation publication page.

The much more comprehensive text compiled by Harrie Salman has some similarities to the usual version found on the internet. However, it is generally different and longer, due to additions. The following texts are a translation from this compilation.

“The said Peter Deunov's prophecy about the end of our civilization and the beginning of the golden age on Earth, which is circulating on the internet, was not given in this form by Peter Deunov. It represents a compilation of paragraphs partially drawn from the following chapters.

On the border between two eras

According to Peter Deunov, the First period of human history is a process of involution, a turning away from God. Human beings descended into the darkness of the material world and lost their primordial sublime life, in which they were with God and dwelt among the Angels. They came down to Earth as part of a learning process. “A new era is dawning for humanity, in which the Wisdom World will show people the way to return to their primordial Life. » La second period devolution begin. Humanity can return to God and ascend to the Light.

At present, said Peter Deunov, we are in a transitional period between involution and evolution. On the border between these two eras, the greatest resistance, the greatest suffering, exists. Christ is there, heralding the beginning of the age of evolution.

“The Earth is now entering into the new divine conditions. The whole world is waking up. Whoever wishes to remain under the old conditions can do so. The whole world, the whole solar system, the whole Universe, everything is moving in a new direction. Human consciousness is expanding. You will witness this Great Expansion; you will be witnesses to this Great Transformation for which God is now preparing all of humanity. The world will come to know that God will not be laughed at.[1]

For thousands of years, the Earth has passed through a region of space that is full of poison. The entire solar system passed through this region. There was another system there that died long ago, but its dust remains and it poisons all beings in the solar system except a few on the sun itself.” “It is a sphere of great contradictions. We are now approaching the end of the sphere – soon we will exit this sphere of the Universe [the 13th sphere]. So much blood, so many tears.[2]

Our solar system will move away from heavy matter to enter a less dense medium. Because of this, there will be conditions for the manifestation of a higher consciousness for humanity. The solar system is moving away from what is called the “13th sphere”. At the same time, the Sun will enter the Age of Aquarius. Now is the end of the dark era, the Kali Yuga.” [3]

According to Peter Deunov, the Kali Yuga started in 4481 BC and ended in 1999.[4] For Rudolf Steiner, it began in 3101 BC and ended in 1899, for a total duration of 5000 years. After Kali Yuga, we are now living in the Satya Yuga, the age of light, which will last 2500 years. This more or less corresponds to the duration of the Second Coming, which began for Steiner around 1933. Another difference is that Peter Deunov took the year 1914, which he celebrated as the beginning of the Second Coming, as the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, which he considered the Age of Christ's return.

Due to the movement of the vernal equinox through the constellations of the Zodiac (the astronomical phenomenon of precession), the vernal sun rises every 2160 years from another constellation. This calculation is based on dividing the Zodiac into 12 equal parts. From this vantage point, the sun will rise from the constellation Aquarius in 2375. For Steiner, this beginning of theAge of Aquarius is not yet the beginning of the culture of Aquarius, the 6th Slavic culture. Inspirations need time to work in human culture, according to him 1199 years, which would place the beginning of the next culture in the year 3574. Peter Deunov did not fix the year of the beginning of this culture, but he announced the inspirations coming from Aquarius in 1914, linking them to the second coming of Christ. It is obvious that Rudolf Steiner and Peter Deunov spoke about the same events, but placed them in different settings.

From 1914 until his death in 1944, Peter Deunov gave many prophecies regarding the Second Coming, Slavic culture, the new cycle of cultures (called in Theosophy the “Sixth Root” and by Peter Deunov also the “Race of Love ” which will emerge from all nations and will be prepared by the Slavic culture) and the Kingdom of God which will be established in this new cycle of cultures. These prophecies are found in his lectures and in the compilations made by his followers.

In the following sections we publish chapters from the book Wellspring of Good, in which his words were collected during the last year of his life. They were transcribed in shorthand by Boyan Boev and Boris Nikolov during the nine-month stay of Peter Deunov and a group of his followers in Temelko's house in the village of Murchaevo near Sofia in 1944.
