James O'Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, announced a new media project.
The O'Keefe Media Group was unveiled on March 15, about three weeks after James O'Keefe resigned from Project Veritas following a suspension and an investigation into his spending practices.
"We're going to send cameras into the hands of hundreds of people," O'Keefe told Real America's Voice. “We are going to create an army of citizen journalists”.
Project Veritas staff and board of directors had asserted that O'Keefe could return to the organization, but he instead embarked on a new path.
The Project Veritas founder said a "close-knit small group" of "elite journalists" stayed by his side and joined his new venture.
