From Manuel Valls to Éric Zemmour, via Emmanuel Macron, the Republicans and Marine Le Pen, the argument of welfare has become a real banner for the political right.
Widely taken up by the media, this rhetoric is gaining, it must be recognized, a growing success within the population which is lost in accusing poorer than him, while the richest rejoice. So much so that some on the left, like Fabien Roussel, even flirted with it. But, on closer inspection, we realize that this argument is based on a series of clichés and that it serves to mask other deeper problems.
