Some date the "end" of music to the early 70s (we will listen to Alain Soral's "music lover" video in reference to Kontre Kulture), others less severe will add one or two decades to make it end in the 90's'. Of course, whatever the periods chosen, everyone will agree that pearls appear here and there, without however calling into question the fact that in general music has nothing more to say.
This statement will probably make people scream. But let's think about it: can we infinitely create something new with a finished material? The twelve semitones of our scale, even if they allow many other things than the major and minor scales (think of the different modes Lydian, Phrygian, Myxolydian, etc.), only offer limited creativity, d all the more so if we restrict ourselves to tonal music. The well-tempered keyboard has a restrained temperament!
